An early and frosty morning on Mars at the end of a primeval landslide, and I mean a really „frosty” morning, about -90° Celsius. At night the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has frozen and, with the rising sun it will sublimate soon.

I like the composition and the colours.

As for your idea, I would suggest adding some Martian ice to the landscape to further enhance the feeling of "chillyness".

Also, on its' own, the image could use something more to tell a story. maybe a crashed probe, a distant astronaut, a sandstorm approaching, something like that.
