A hypothetical planet (moon?) orbiting Luhman 16 A, a nearby Brown Dwarf, primary component of a binary system with another Brown Dwarf.

My supposed moon-sized and arid companion is circling close and is tidally locked. Luhman 16 A is a deep-red glowing ball, more than 20 times the apparent diameter of the moon seen from earth, always at the same place in the sky, flooding the landscape with its red light, only the visible part of the big infrared spectrum. The binary Brown Dwarf companion Luhman 16 B is the red dot clearly visible in proximity of A, distant about 4 AU.
Rendered in Terragen 4, Postwork with Pixelmator.
As always, I try to keep „realism” in my renders by integrating known facts of the depicted objects.
