Another view of my hypothetical planetary system. Snow and ice are melting in the midsummer, drenching the poor primeval moss-like vegetation with water. For some weeks the primary sun, an almost sunlike star, in this polar region will never set. The tidally locked twin-planet is a sickle at the horizon.

The secondary star in the sky, a red dwarf, is in a flare-phase: For some hours the brightness and radiation increase about a hundred times as normal, making this faint star in a distant orbit clearly visible.
