"We were not prepared...how could we have been?  A habitable moon orbiting a watery gas giant in a quintuple system seemed too far-fetched, too unlikely.   The irrepressible Mr. Mason, never at a loss for words, has declared this place  to be a true child of the sun, bathed in almost perpetual daylight.

The unmistakable shades of green indicate plant life, but we have yet to muster up the courage to take a shuttle to see what is actually there..."

from the journal of Eyrie Jenkins, date unknown.

Enjoy.   A little something I'm dabbling with...

You have a nice light going on here the planet itself could use a bit of work But its definately  an earth like world. Here is a tip I have learnt over the years if you ever use Bryce render a terrain texture on a plane and put the camera so you can only see the plane itself click render and save when its done that way you can make many planetary textures without have to do too much hard work. I like your work though its an awesome picture well done.

I LOVE the flares you've got going on. What software did you use? Axion I guess.

Sorry!  I never answered the question!  This was done on GIMP...just a few supernovae filters done on transparent layers.  Created a hazier effect than what I expected/intended, but since when does art go the way one wants?
