Hi, unlurking again. Been a while since I've posted but have been enjoying the artworks.

Was thinking of getting a Wacom tablet, probably an Intuos 5, but I'm not sure how well this will work with the GIMP. Anyone here had any experience with the two?

Thanks in advance for any advice, hopefully I will have some art to post soon!

I have the Wacom Intuos 5 but never tried it with gimp. Although, the tablet (the one I bought at Best Buy) came bundled with Painter and Photoshop Elements. I may try to dnload gimp though and see if it's like Photoshop when using the pressure point feature..

Would like to see what could be made with it from you!

Hi Chaos

Long time no see. No Gimp isn't Wacom Intuos Compatible according to websites on the internet. However it is for Photo shop elements here is a link to amazon it is a bit cheaper there.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Adobe-Photoshop-Elements-11-Mac/dp/B 0090DQ93U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376730977&sr=8-1&a mp;keywords=photoshop+elements

I own Elements 11 and it is great But if you can't afford elements 11 Elements 9 is also very good. What artwork have you been making since you've been away I bet is good.

Cheers

Karl

Ok thanks for the advice. I'm seeing conflicting reports on the internet about whether it will or won't work, so maybe I'll hold off for now and get my raytracing skills back up to scratch.
