Just started with preliminary artwork on a project that has been bubbling in my mind for a while.
Been thinking that if the redstone rocket, as a direct decendent of the V2 lofted the Mercury capsules what would it look like if I shuttled up a Me 163 and fired it into space on a redstone?
Waddya think?

Just did a composition of the parts in Photoshop but I
simply can not get the Messerschmidt to fit at that
perspective, back to the drawing board.
What I want is the almost spent rocket stack starting to fall
back to earth with the bus and the shroud in the
background and the Me rocketing upwards, all that against
the backdrop of earth.

Brilliant you are very good at 2d painting hell of a lot better at it then I a. Your work is great there was someone on here years ago and he was very good at making 2d Space Ships his name was Manlio I haven't seen or heard from him for quite a few years and your work excites me as much as his did. Don't ever stop painting like this.

Karl

But suddenly I see that try as I may the composition in the way my imagination portrays the finished picture simply won't do the detail any good, so my aim has shifted a bit and I want to focus on clouds from above, I am playing around with variations of displacement mapping and layering my old friend "difference clouds".
Gonna try for a Photoshop view of clouds from space in the blue areas.
