Both of these look good, try adding some smaller areas of other colors, maybe a blue on the opposite side of the red. The planets look a little bit flat, but maybe it's the shadows, they don't seem to be 100% correct (they're too much of a crescent, the pointy parts shouldn't extend so far around the poles) I really like the red and orange parts of the nebula, and I think some more subtle colors might make it stand out better.
