Hello all!
Well, this is my attempt to make the Milky Way. This will be a collab with DeathCl0ck and this would be my part of the job.
I just want to hear some professional suggestions before I finish it and give it to my partner
Thanks in advance.

Pretty amazing man! You've grown into a very impressive space artist! Heres a little advise! I would just make the arms a little more spread out! Also the galaxy looks a little scrunched together! I was browsing for images and I found this http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/82/Milky_Way _Galaxy.jpg I think this perfectly illustrates what I'm trying to say! If you could do those things I think this could become something truly spectacular! But in all seriousness I'm truly impressed with you're progress!

hi
looks pretty good, but possibly a little soft. Might need a
little tinkering with more contrast areas/streaks/whisps in
parts to help define it.

the red dots look too much like... red dots, maybe a bit of gaussian blur or a brighther center for the red dots it's not better than the first one, but it looks more natural, the one of above look like painted this second one has more natural colours but it also has lost a bit of detail, the core of the galaxy in the second picture looks more like the image I assume you have used as reference, but if you look at it you will see it's too blurry, trying to add detail would be a great idea. Also you could try putting some degree in the outside arms to blend it better with the background. PS: I think you are excited because the second image looks a lot more like the image I suppose you have looked to make the milky way, but in the way you skipped some mistakes, it happens me a lot too, today you might give the piece an eight or a nine, but if you wait a few days you will begin to see little errors everywhere. I hope this help you.

I think they're both pretty solid work, I struggled with galaxies for a long time until i could get something I liked (galaxies are still probably my biggest weakness ) I like the structure of the second one better, but i think Pogona is right, it lost some of the details - mostly in the center. I'm really looking forward to seeing this done There's such a variety of galaxies in the sky, that both of these could be considered good representations of actual galaxies IMO ... the first one reminds me of the Whirlpool Galaxy especially the center ... but for the Milky Way i think the second image is more accurate (remember it's a believed to be a barred spiral ... but then read the section called "Spiral Arms" here to see that the Milky Way may only have two main arms, like NGC 1365) I didn't know that until just now - guess you learn something new every day right?
