I've just handed in all my work for this term at uni so I'm having a nice rest drawing something other than brown dwarfs. This was one of the results.

I used compressed charcoal and a putty rubber, nothing else. Just trying to keep it nice and simple.

Impressive as always I like the well-defined light
source, but I feel like the shadowed side begins a bit
too abruptly. Besides that I'm enjoying this a lot!

Augustus - glad you like it this was part of some serious end of term art therapy.

I agree with you, the shadow side does begin a bit too abruptly doesn't it. Looks like I'm going to have to do some more to iron that out.

If you ignore the shadow part, the actual asteroid is very nice! There is a ton of detail to it. Great work once again!

Cool, i like the black and white scheme and all the crater details look great! I agree with the sharp shadow edge, but beyond that i have no complaints at all Great work!!

PS I edited your post, so the image shown is small enough to fit on most screens. The full size is still there, just click on the blue link at the bottom BTW what browser did you use to upload the image?

Thanks for that Regulus, that's brilliant. I've been trying to figure out to do that with the pics but when I insert one I just get a little box up to insert an URL in. It doesn't give me any other options.

I use Firefox for my browser, it's normally pretty good. I only occasionally have problems when I meet sites which are more set up for Windows Explorer.

When you upload, do you see a button that looks like the image URL icon, but with a little arrow pointing up (in the top right corner)? that's the upload button, I think we've had problems in the past with it not showing up in certain browsers, but Firefox was always the browser that worked the best, so it should be there?
