i dont know it for sure, but blur3d is same as blur but in 3D, i think thats all. if U apply too much of both U lost details in normal or 3D apophysis. I use Blur/blur3D only as base to build on in transform editor. never use it normaly. it's needed to make something like this and then applying other variations

I think this is a great idea .....but I can't really contribute any knowledge of Apo.... if you guys want someone to proof-read it or test it out i can do that
