Hello everyone i'm BS411 and I just recently began creating space art. Now of course my art isn't good but i'm hoping to improve my art. 

I'm not really sure if i'm allowed to ask a question here or not but my question is: whenever I save my space art for the web, when I put it on sites like DeviantArt I notice that the quality is pretty bad and some parts are blurry. Can someone maybe tell me how I can correctly re-size my images and save them for the web so they come out being really nice quality? Right now I use the "save for web" in Photoshop and set it to JPEG and quality maximum but it still comes out bad.

welcome here BS411 and don't say your art isn't good. every space art is good maybe not as much as other but good every great space artist started somewhere
and why U resize images? just try to lovering  JPEG quality, that's how i do it. my last pic posted here was 1.4MB at max quality (12) and 0.94MB when i lower it to 11

Welcome to Solar Voyager! This is a great place to share space art, even if you have just started, there are lots of folks on here willing to answer questions and help.

My advice on your quality issue is: never use "save for web" EVER!! at least not for anything that requires decent quality. I "save as" my images in Photoshop as hi quality (12 i think is maximum) jpgs and then use Irfanview (free simple image editor - google it) to resize and save them for the web. I usually resize them to around 1000x750, but thats just personal preference, and i leave them at 100 percent quality. If i am going to print something out on paper, i use .tif files since they are lossless, but much bigger filesize than jpg. So always save your .psd files, since they are full quality and then you can go back and resave something if needed.

And I just recently started saving the .psd files of my projects. I used to love making vector-type art but when I recently started space art, I realized that it probably would be a good idea to save the .psd's in-case I had to go back.
