Hey everyone...

 

I just wanted to pop in and say hi, as the newest member here (for the moment).

Ages ago, I stumbled on a photoshop tutorial explaining "how to make a planet".  It was pretty thorough, and I still reference it today.  At the time, I thought that the planets I could make using this technique were amazingly cool, and I had fun with it for a few weeks.

Looking back, these were amazingly simple "balls" on a black background.  If I felt fancy, I'd throw a lens flare in here or there.

Over the weekend, I stumbled across the same tut, and then started looking at others...and then I found SV.  The work you guys do is AMAZING, and I can't wait to learn from you all!
