Hi gang, well the long awaited 3DWorld Magazine Issue 100 with the free Carrara 5 Pro has arrived in the U.S., that's the good news. Now the bad news, 3DWorld magazine changed to DVD format. What does that mean to folks with just a CD -RW drive. You can't run squat, won't see it thinks its a blank disk. For you folks that have a DVD drive, you are good to go.
Yep, found out the stupid way, purchased 3 magazines, two at one store and one at the other with the same result nada, zilch, doesn't work so I told them about it (thought they had a bad batch). Got my money back.
So after 99 issues 3DWorld decides to go DVD and I being an astute computer user didn't read the fine print carefully, probably ignored the letters DVD (after all for 99 issues, got used to the letters CD, it was great).
So, what does that mean to all of you that don't have a DVD stuck inside your computer, upgrade, buy a new computer with a DVD, buy a DVD drive or like me, don't buy 3DWorld for that purpose anymore. sniffle and I wanted Carrara 5 Pro---Jan

Well, it was just for this issue wasn't it?
They needed more room to pack more stuff into it, including the demo videos. I don't think they have a permanent change in mind yet.
