Just a reminder: Solar Voyager is a website for "Space Art" -- Stars, planets, comets, asteroids and other space-oriented topics.  We do allow man-made elements in these images, such as spacecraft, cities and other habitats, etc., but if posts stray into copyrighted designs such as Star Trek, Star Wars, etc. we reserve the right to remove these items.  There are plenty of science-fiction related art sites out there, and if you want to create images with these items, please do so on those other sites.

We have also had some recent posts with religious content.  Solar Voyager is not the place for these images.  I'm sure there are plenty of religious art sites that would welcome such content.

If you are working on an image and want to create a realistic stellar background for it, you're welcome to share that part of the image and ask for help or suggestions, but please do not post images with copyrighted or religious content.

Seems fair in my opinion Tom, as this site is more about space art, than science-fiction art. as for religion, i wouldnt have really thought you could get religious space images? maybe religous themes...

I am rather disappointed.  I am one member whose work is directly inspired by religion and even though my images may contain no direct religious imagery, their essence is of God.  You have made me feel unwelcomed with this rather irrational move.  I can’t imagine someone would be offended by the works, at least no more so than images of annihilated civilizations, the existence of aliens, or apocalyptic themes.  I do hope you reconsider.

Matt,  this is not an irrational move and we feel sorry that you feel that way.  It is very possible for some to be offended by religious works posted here.  This site has members of many religions.  Therefore, this site must remain neutral on religious issues.  Moderator
