I am a bit late, but anyway: HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!

This is a picture that was around for a while and I have modified it at least 10 times, added stuff here, deleted stuff there. So it looks as though the picture had been aging in the meantime.

It is supposed to represent a planetary nebula (artistic freedom included)

I hope you like it!

Dick

Hello Eonite, I agree with the others that this is an exceptionally good
picture! Almost impossible to tell from a Hubble picture!

The Nebula looks like an 'O'. Put a 'W' in front and behind of your nebula and you've got my opinion. Extremely realistic.

Hello, Dick,

I agree: absolutely fantastic stuff! Taken live directly on location :-)

Now that's a nebula, it looks much nicer than the cloud render nebulas I'm used to. Photorealistic is the word. Also love the starfield, just the right amount with a nice variation in size and intensity.
