I have been trying to improve my techniques to create starfields and stars. This is the result of tonight`s session. I wanted to achieve both density and depth. Lot`s of renders and layers involved. Maybe I should speak of a galaxy here, not a cluster, although I suppose that it would involve visible clouds of dust and a more defined center. I am still not where I want to be, but found the result quite good. As always I am learning things and next time I will do it a bit differently. For a final version I would work in a bigger format and would probably crop it. I am curious to know from you what you think and I am happy about any hint you can give me. Dick P.S. I have just replaced it with a cropped version. Full Wallpaper View : 1024x768

Thank you, folks. Really nice feedback!
chaos syndome: Funny you say this. Prior to creating this picture I was looking at a capture of the Magellanic Cloud. I then said to myself that I had a way to go to get anywhere close to it.
Here is the link of this image of the Magellanic Cloud:

Hello, Dick,
that looks very convincing and realstic. Probably a hybrid between galaxy and cluster ;-) But anyway: Put in a Hubble-sign and no one would look at this picture as a computer-generated image. Fab!
