Here is my latest pic. This time showing a nebula . Hope you like it (I do!) C&Cs welcome. P.S. The original is 2048x2048, much too big for the 500kb limit.

Hi Dick, I agree with you--I like it too! Your work shows a lot of attention-to-detail and thought-beautifully done--shows a great deal of 3D depth. A hearty thumbs up!---Jan

Hey, thanks a lot Mark, SuperChode and Jan! Sounds like real compliments! Mark and SuperChode: I will probably upload renders of the individual layers I used and explain how I did it later today. SuperChode I am using Artmatic Pro (Mac app) and Photoshop. Jan: Indeed I am working hard to get some 3D depth as this is what space is all about... On this occasion I should give credit to Rob Gendler`s space gallery which shows probably the most beautiful collection of nebula captures to date. I am getting much of the inspiration from there. Each time I visit his gallery I am getting very humble. Here`s the link:http://www.robgendlerastropics.com/Nebulas.html Dick

Hey, Eonite,
This really looks like a real photo taken by Hubble -- in other words, fantaastic work! Great stars, excellent nebula... No critics from me! Btw, is that a planet way down there?

Thanks for the nice comments, Zonic Blazer and bloknayrb. Zonic Blazer: No, it`s not a planet. It`s my signature. I designed it a while ago in Artmatic. It looks a bit like an old symbol of Yin and Yang (the 2 opposing forces) in harmony. My sign is not really a circle but more like a spiral.

So here is the "making of": The first thing was to create the nebula. This was by far the longest and most challenging part. I designed it (as well as all other parts of the picture) with Artmatic a Mac app created by Eric Wenger, one of the main figures in developing Bryce. What you see here is how it was rendered by AM.
