Here is a new nebula "portrait" (Fahad, I like this expression) from my "Pink Floyd" Series. It`s actually the result of an experiment/study, where I tried to stack nebula layers. For many of them I used the "screen mode" but I found out that "normal" mode can produce some interesting results, when the individual layers have varying transparency. It`s also a way to hide the stars in a natural way.
When you see certain layers ending abruptly, this is intended.

All layers created in Artmatic.

It was initially meant as experiment, so did not intend to post it. But I kind of liked the result...

The picture itself makes use of my artistic license, so it`s not fully realistic. The slightly erotic touch is purely accidental

Thanks for all your really nice compliments and supportive suggestions and crits.

C&Cs welcome.

Hi, this piece is extremely stunning and beautiful--you did well with your artistic license.  I did take a look at your website and your other stunning artwork. Jan

What my website is concerned I am lagging behind. Try to catch up a bit in the next

Hi eonite,

wonderful..... . Could be the stage for "The great gig in the sky".

Artmatic seems to be a powerful prgramm in the hands of someone who knows what he is doing.... .

Very nice... Funny thing it looks like a stallar nursery , ie where clusters are born, and it definitely have the shape of a womb.

Experiment or not, this came out great! details are fantastic! one thought i had: it might look good to add some more dark matter in the foreground, blocking a little of the neb........not that it needs any improvement

Wow! Thanks for the nice comments. I was in fact not quite sure if you would like it.
My uploads are sometimes very spontaneous. Oftentimes I have just completed
a picture (After hours of working on it), so I am simply lacking distance at the time of upload. But now that I look at it, I still like it.

Segin: Oh yeah, I could very well imagine the stage. Should probably send them a pic

Aszazeroth: I had in fact similar thoughts. But as my fantasy is more developed than my
knowledge of space, I was not quite sure about it.( Who knows, maybe there is some
interaction between the cosmos and our imagination going on)

Reimund: Animated... good idea... ;-)

regulus: Good suggestion, as this would add some tension to the scene.
