Thank you very much, Matt, Jan and Reimund.
Matt: You are certainly right. The stars should not be visible through a dense nebula like that, except for those that are in front. Of course if it is interpreted as planetary nebula there should not be as many stars in front due to it`s limited size, at least that`s what I guess. However I must tell you that in this case these bunches of stars are exactly what it needs!

Lol, eonite, I've been looking at your workies for some time, but after this one it's hard not to compliment you on your awesome work. Altho' I usually go for the more 'artistic' side of spaceart (as I'm still learning about space itself, and can't create realistic works), this is such a great balance between art and realism, that I say it's an artistic photograph. Ofcourse, you stated yourself that this is your secret technique.
Would you by any chance have such a beam machine left? Thanks in advance.
No but really, great great great work!

Thanks novastar, tha_rami, Ravindra and Aeon. Your compliments make me feel good! novastar: pssst.. don`t tell.. tha_rami: Your sincerity impressed me! Re:Beam machines. They`re currently sold out. I`ll let you know when they are back on stock Aeon: Hi! I guess I will write a tut sooner or later. But as I am using Artmatic (Mac app) it won`t be of much use for most of you. Of course there are a number of things that are useful to know independent of the application. One such a thing are gradient curves. I find it well invested time to experiment with it. It`s most useful for nebulae, stars and planets, or for any kind of light source. The way how light or a color is fading says a lot about the object. A good example are stars. A big star can appear clumpsy with little power, despite of its size, when the wrong fade curve is applied, On the other hand a small star can look very powerful with the right gradient curve. If you take a close look at how the nebula is fading, you will understand what I mean. Dick
