I am unsure if anyone else has posted this, but if your art contains some sci-fi (alien creatures/futuristic sci-fi spaceships) included in a piece that is specifically based around the space-art, is that permitted? |

Andrew, just take a look at the header images and you'll see a broad range of what I feel is acceptable here at SV. Voyager's "Exogenesis" is an example of life forms in a piece that I felt was impressive enough to feature in the header, and I think that's exactly what you're talking about. David, your work with speculative futuristic space exploration vehicles has been right in line with what I feel is appropriate here at SV. No worries -- keep on posting your work! I'll reiterate what my decision was back when this thread started -- put all the spacecraft, colonies, etc. you like in your images as long as the main focus is on space, space exploration, colonization, etc. -- and DO NOT USE copyrighted designs, such as those from Star Trek, Star Wars, etc. There are plenty of SF fan art sites out there for those images.
