This is the most wonderful news I have viewed all week. It was very hard to imagine the possibility of this site going away. It is great to know that someone has stepped up to take over and make sure the site continues running. Also nice to score some computer time to say hi to you guys :)
Tom, I am willing to assist in any way necessary with the site. If you should need something, please feel free to ask anytime.

Wow. I should really stop by more often...
First, I read with great sadness that SV was going to close, then like
a savior sweeping down from above, Klankster saves the day!
I haven't posted in *ages*, but I do stop by from time to time to check
out the great art being posted here, and even tho the site has
been saved, I just wanted to say that it would have been a tremendous
loss if it was shut down.
Fortunately, that's been avoided. A huge "thank you" to Klankster for
keeping the flame alive, and incredible respect to Hawkeye for building
such a wonderful place on the web for us all
