Excellent work, just what I expected of you. Can't see anything immediately wrong with it and I doubt there is, nice job!

im gonna be the bad guy and say that im not fond of the galaxy at the top left.  It's pretty distracting for me, and blurry too.  I know that it should be, but its perhaps too smooth of a blur.

Other than that, though.......i like the texturing job.

Hi Pad, bad guy number two.

Check the shadows on your planets crescents, they go too far around.

I should have put the good stuff I see first-but that gets boring.  Planet texture, coloring,  cloud layers and depth of field have been mastered--really a superb job on your main theme.  Jan

Not much to say, but I agree with Dinyctis.  The galaxy to me is a little of a throw off.

Jan, for the crescents to work the sun has to be more to the left, right? I opened up Celestia and it seems so...

Hey Pad, I'm not one to spaek when it comes to creating planetary images, (as Photshop always seems to beat me up) but, I have to agree with Jan, your planets textures and atmosphere are excellent.  I would also add that the little galaxy off to the top left of the image seem somewhat distracting. Over all well done Pad!

Cheers,

David

Pad, your crescents should look like this and yes the sun is just off screen on the right, you can have more of the sun lit side showing, just ensure that the lighted side does not exceed half of the circumference of the planet at the lim (up to half moon/planet view-Jan
