We are happy to bring new functionality to the site today in the form of Image Uploads! Two of our forum areas, the Members Gallery and the Desktop Themes area, have been updated to allow for image uploads within messages. This means that you will no longer have to link to an external website in order to display your images; the images can be directly uploaded to our server where they will be saved and always available. This should help us to reduce broken (or slow) links and also give users without access to external web space the ability to participate. That was bound to happen, and hopefully it won't get abused. Can solarvoyager handle the future image bandwidth? How much bandwidth is SV allowed per month? How much webspace?

Yea, I won't go into too many of those details...so far we're ok.  Since we are focused on a specific type of art (and not open to everything), I think we will grow to a point, then level out.  I will be keeping an eye on abuse though...only registered members can upload, and that sort of thing can be tracked.  So far, so good! 

 

Thx for the new feature, im glad to hear it, i used to use my student web sapce and that place is already a mess...
